About Us

Owner Steve Miller’s roots run deep in the automotive repair business. His granddad owned a Sinclair Station in Berlin, Ohio in the 1960s. It was a two-door, two-bay filling station and repair shop. Steve and his dad have worked together in the repair business for over two decades. In 1999 the family purchased Showalter Oil Company in Yoder, Kansas. The next opportunity presented itself in April 2010 when Orrin Pitts approached the Millers and informed them he was retiring and wanted them to buy Orrin's Pitt Stop in South Hutchinson, Kansas.

Steve jokes that he bought Orrin’s as a gift for his wife because the Millers closed on the purchase on his wife’s birthday on a Friday in October of 2010. The following Monday, Orrin’s Pitt Stop became Red Rock Auto Center and the new chapter had begun. From day one the philosophy has been to enhance the customer’s experience and value regarding their automotive service and repairs. In 2011 Red Rock Auto Center added more shop space and remodeled the front area of the business. A critical part of the “Red Rock Way” is continued training for all employees and staying up to date on the latest technology and techniques to serve their customers better. All courtesy inspections come with a digital report card and we are always transparent with our customers. We have four loaner vehicles which are used almost daily.
