Hands-On Training: Fundamental Alignments presented in person by Scott Long, Hunter Engineering
The following will be discussed to increase technician/service advisor knowledge when performing/selling modern alignment service.
Classroom instruction will include opportunities for wheel alignment, alignment types and processes; primary alignment angle discussion to include camber, caster, total toe, toe related geometry, thrust angle and steer ahead; tire wear related to primary alignment angles; handling issues related to primary alignment angles. Alignment printouts will provide practice of interpretation of the primary alignment angles.
In shop instruction will include proper compensation of Hunter alignment systems; proper caster measurement; producing printouts; control arm adjustments for camber/caster; obtaining a level steering wheel using WinToe; perform other common OE adjustment methods; perform steering angle sensor resets using Hunter’s CodeLink device (if available).
